The Altrusa Great Read
Waimarie Smith reading John Hawkesby's autobiography
12 noon to 3pm, Wednesday 8th September at the Community Education Centre
The idea of The Great Read is to have as many people as possible reading for at least 10 minutes to inspire reading and literacy throughout the community.
Bring a book to read! Bring your family and friends! All ages are welcome. Sausage sizzle available.
Come along any time between 12 noon to 3pm, Wednesday 8th September to Waiheke Adult Literacy in the Community Education Centre (next to the Rec Centre on Donal Bruce Rd).
Waiheke Library – 11am to 12 noon daily
Monday 6th – Learn Chess! Bring your board.
Tuesday 7th – Learn to manage and edit your digital photos.
Wednesday 8th – The courage to become literate. James shares his story.
Thursday 9th – Square foot gardening with Ken Clark.
Friday 10th – Upcycle your pre-loved clothes with Rose Mcleod.
