Community Education at Waiheke High School offers courses for adult learners. We offer evening and weekend short courses on a variety of lifestyle and employment related topics from Arts to Recreational Boating to Small Business Development, each with a Waiheke flavour.
As contractors to the Tertiary Education Commission we offer full-time day courses in Skills for Employment to assist people wishing to update their skills for a return to the workforce or to prepare for tertiary study.
We are located at 11 Donald Bruce Road, Surfdale, Waiheke Island. We are next door to the Waiheke Recreation Centre.
Our purpose-built training centre is a comfortable, well equipped facility offering a relaxed environment, ideal for small group learning. Facilities include a 20-seater seminar room with whiteboard, TV/Video/DVD, Data Projector, and kitchen, plus a 10-seater smaller training room and breakout rooms. Our computer training room has 10 networked personal computers, with Microsoft XP and broadband Internet access.
